An Open Letter to the Former Members of the Young Peoples' Socialist League
Dear Comrades,
I am hoping that if you are reading this letter, it is because you still believe in and hope for the success of democratic socialism. Our country sorely needs it.
During your time as a YPSL member, you had a role in deciding the future of socialism in America. You were part of an organization dedicated to instilling the values and dreams of socialism in new generation. It is our hope that you are still interested in continuing that tradition.
While the focus of the Young Social Democrats remains, as it always has, on the challenges and opportunities facing young socialists, the membership does not restrict itself only to today's youth. The perspective of older socialists who have already undergone such challenges is truly needed. Although the organization has found its way into new hands, the guidance and leadership of those who came before us continues to be very welcome.
If you are at all interested in reconnecting with your old organization, I urge you to both read about joining us and check out the website of the Social Democrats USA--Socialist Party of America.
